The Lake
This list wouldn't be completed without mentioning the Lake of the Ozarks. Besides its beauty, it is filled with fun things to do nearly all year long. From boating and skiing to fishing and swimming, there is so much to do on, in and around the Lake of the Ozarks. The main channel stretches 92 miles from end to end and there are over 1,150 miles of shoreline (which is more than the state of California!), which offers a lot of space to fill up with fun all year long!
Centrally Located
If you are living in Missouri, the Lake of the Ozarks is the perfect location to call home. You have a small town vibe, but tons of places to shop and eat thanks to it being a vacation destination. There is no need to live the city to enjoy all the same amenities. However, if you want to visit one the Lake of the Ozarks is just three hours from Kansas City and St. Louis and a couple hours from Springfield or Columbia.
Seasonal Views
Whether is fall, winter, spring or summer, the Lake of the Ozarks is always beautiful. During the fall, the Lake area is surrounded by beautiful trees that are covered in colorful leaves. In the spring, you can gaze at all the flowers that are blooming. Although the area is known for being a popular place to travel in the summer, no matter the season, there are always gorgeous Lake views.
Community Events
The Lake of the Ozarks is loaded with annual events all year long. Our summer "tourist" season is filled with Harbor Hops, Bikefest, boat races, live music and more everywhere you go! However, during the "off-season" there are still many things going on like Lake Stock Fall Crawl, Mardi Gras Pub Crawl and many holiday events just to name a few. There are some people who visit our town just for these events. If you live here, you wouldn't have to make special arrangements to attend them.
