Get To Know Dan Ralston

It's important to know and trust your Lake of the Ozarks real estate agent when you are buying or selling your home.  I recently sat down and answered a few questions about myself, and I wanted to share those answers with you.  You and I may just have quite a bit in common. How long have you been in real estate?   Most of my career through college and onward has been in the bar and restaurant field.   1995 to 2002, Tami (my wife) and I decided to get our own place in a small town area just west of Overland Park in DeSoto, KS.   Full restaurant serving breakfast, lunch, and dinner.   And we also had a pub on the other side.   We called it Kill Creek Pub and Grill because the actual Kill Creek ran 1/4 mile behind us.   When I sold out to my partner's brother in law in 2002, I wasn't quite sure what to do next.   And at my uncle's urging, I got my real estate license in KS and had it reciprocate in MO since that's where his office and most of his business was.

Staging your home is a very important part of the home-selling process.  I have picked up some really great tips through my experience as a realtor at the Lake of the Ozarks .  Doing these 9 things will make your house much more appealing to the eye and entice buyers to want to live there.  This can get you a higher price and make the place sell more quickly.   Curb Appeal You only have one chance to make a first impression, and the first thing that potential buyers will see is your yard and front door.  Make sure the grass is well manicured, and the walkway is clean and clear.  Flowers always add beauty to the front of a home.  If you don't have any planted, add some flowerpots near the entrance.  Powerwash the siding of your home so that it is bright and clean.  Make sure trash bins are out of site and garden hoses are put away. Clean and Spotless You don't want your house to just be cleaned up.  You want it to be immaculate. Make sure everything in site is scrubbed.
