4 Reasons to be Thankful You Live at the Lake of the Ozarks

Whether you live in the area part-time or year-round, buying a home at the Lake of the Ozarks gives you many reasons to be thankful.  This is an incredible place to call home for lots of different reasons.  This Lake of the Ozarks realtor would like to share a few of them with you.

The beauty.

Everyone is partial to the place that they live, but I firmly believe that mid-Missouri is one of the most beautiful places anywhere, especially the Lake of the Ozarks area.  The seasons play a large part in that.  Beautiful blossoms in the spring, green trees everywhere that you look all summer, every color imaginable in the fall, and the gorgeous scenes of snow covering the hilly landscape in the winter.  If you are lucky enough to own a waterfront home at the Lake of the Ozarks, then you have the most amazing view to wake up to on a daily basis. Everywhere that you look around here is simply gorgeous.

The location.

This is the perfect spot to be if you are going to live in Missouri.  You get the feel of small-town living here, but we have many great places to shop and eat thanks to the fact that this is a vacation destination.  No need to live in the middle of a great big city to enjoy those amenities.  We are also only a couple of hours away from Springfield and Columbia, and St. Louis and Kansas City are just a bit further than those.

The events.

This area is loaded with annual events all year long.  It's not just a summer place to be.  While our "tourist season" is filled with Harbor Hops, Bikefest, boat races, live music everywhere that you go, and so much more, great things happen the rest of the year too.  Even more live music, Holiday & St. Patrick's day parades, Christmas for Kids, and Mardis Gras Pub Crawl are just a few.  We have a lot of people come back to visit our town for those events, but living here, we don't have to make special arrangements to attend them.

The lake.

Last, but certainly not least, is the amazing lake that gave our area its name. Besides its beauty, it is filled with fun.  Boating, swimming, skiing, tubing, fishing... There is so much to do on, in, and around the water!  Surrounding the lake we have incredible parks and waterfront bars and restaurants.  The main channel stretches 92 miles and there is over 1,150 miles of shoreline to our lake. That offers tons of space to fill up with a lot of fun.

Living at the Lake of the Ozarks lets us enjoy the benefits of a vacation destination without having to leave home.  This town does not go into complete hibernation in the winter, and at that time we get to have all of the tourist fun to ourselves.  I am very grateful to be able to call this area my home.  If you would like to buy a house at the Lake of the Ozarks of your own, give me a call.  I would be happy to show you around this fascinating area.  Your lake home is waiting.
