July Events at the Lake of the Ozarks

July 4th: Eldon 4th of July Celebration
Join the all-day hometown-style celebration in Downtown Eldon! Participate in a 5K Run/Walk at 7:30 AM, enjoy the Independence Day parade at 10:30, swim your heart out for FREE at the Eldon Aquatic Center from noon – 4 PM, and finish off the night with a fabulous firework display at dusk. July 6th: 4th of July Fireworks & Fun Fest at Old Kinderhook
The 4th of July obviously calls for an All-American Cookout! Bring your friends and family to Old Kinderhook to enjoy their annual Independence Day Fireworks and Fun Fest. Children are invited to participate in fun and games including bounce houses, face painting, and more. Plus, there will be great live entertainment and food. This is a can’t miss event! July 6th-7th: Five Turn Knot Live in Concert
A local favorite, Five Turn Knot, is going to be at the Horny Toad Entertainment Complex for two days! Five Turn Knot is here to rock the Lake with your favorite radio hits from over the past 30 years. The event starts at 8 PM and runs until 1 AM for both nights. July 9th-12th: Junior Golf Camp at Old Kinderhook
Do you have a youngster who’s interested in golf? Now’s your chance to register for Old Kinderhook’s Junior Golf Camp. The camp is available to children 18 years and younger at $75 per child. The camp runs an hour long, from 6-7 PM each night. To register, call the golf shop at 573-317-3573.
July 13th: Hot Summer Nights – “Rods & Rock ‘N’ Roll”
Hot Sumer Nights is back for the third fun-filled night of 2018! This classic vehicle cruise and family night is a great, fun event for all ages. Admission and participation are free. There will be games, activities, and live entertainment for the kiddos. All makes and models of cars, trucks, and motorcycles will line the Bagnell Dam Strip and cruise. July 14th: LOWA July Paddlers Meet-Up
Are you an experienced paddler, or are you interested in learning about the tranquility of kayaking? Then this event is for YOU! Join the LOWA Paddlers at the HaHa Tonka State Park Kayak Steps from 8 AM-noon. The LOWA Paddlers will be there to encourage and assist any new paddlers, and experienced paddlers will enjoy the great opportunity to share a common interest with other Lake of the Ozarks area kayak paddlers. July 18th: Artsy Affair with the Lake Arts Council
Twenty students will have the opportunity to learn from the nationally acclaimed artist, MaryAndeline. Students will learn how to paint on glass – specifically, a cactus flower on a margarita glass. Light snacks, adult beverages, and all art supplies will be provided. Due to limited space, reservations are required, and the cost is $30 per person. Students must be 21 years or older to participate. Call 573-964-6366 to register.
July 20th: Free Fallin’: A Tribute to Tom Petty
Ozarks Amphitheater was recently voted #5 of the Best Live Music Venues in Missouri, so why would you miss this?! Join Ozarks Amphitheater for an evening of incredible tribute to the legend Tom Petty with Free Fallin’. Special guest, Sushi Roll, is coming all the way from Chicago. Doors open at 6 PM and the concert starts at 7 PM. Ozarks Amphitheater will donate a portion of each ticket sale to the Central Missouri Foster Care and Adoption Association. July 21st: Aquapalooza 2018
Calling all boaters! Head on out to Dog Days Bar & Grill for the Lake’s largest FAMILY boating event of the summer. The On the Water Party will be held at Dog Days at the 19mm. Live music and fun activities make for a great time out on the water. The artist line-up for 2018 is Chad Bearden, The i-Berrys, Ryan Collins Band, and Goddesses of Rock. July 21st: Fireworks Spectacular at Seven Springs
What do you get when you combine wine, barbecue, and a fantastic fireworks display? An incredible evening at Seven Springs Winery! Reserved seating is $15, and a great dinner is an additional $15. Beginning at 7 PM, enjoy a barbecue buffet of pulled pork, pulled chicken, baked beans, potato salad, cole slaw, and a chocolate chip cookie. Each pod and gazebo will rent for $250 for up to 12 people and wait staff will be provided. Reservations are required due to the limited space. Call the Winery at 573-317-0100.
