Golf Courses in the Area

Not only is the Lake of the Ozarks a great place to boat, swim, fish, dine and shop, it’s also a great place to golf! According to the Lake of the Ozarks Golf Council, there are over 13 courses to enjoy in the area and each of them provide challenges for golfers of all skill levels. The courses feature elevation changes, water features, rock outcrops and more. Not to mention, from many of the courses, you can catch a glimpse of the lake. The only thing that's better than golfing is golfing with a view! With so many courses spread throughout the lake, you’re sure to have one fairly close to wherever your lake house is located.

Easy Golf Trips
If you’re a regular golfer, you most likely have a golf course near where you live that you play at often. However, sometimes it can be fun to visit other courses to get a change of scenery and meet new people. Owning a lake house at the Lake of the Ozarks is a great way to easily be able to visit other courses whenever you want. Sometimes it can be hard to find lodging for the time you want and within a certain area if you've decided to take a mini golf vacation, but with your own lake house, you can come play golf on one of our courses whenever you would like to! Having your own house also allows you to easily invite friends and family that enjoy golfing to join you at the lake.

The Benefits of Golfing
A great thing about golf is getting the opportunity to meet new people and make connections with people who have similar interests as you. Most golf courses have clubhouses where you can relax and meet other golfers before or after teeing off. Not only can you enjoy golfing with your new found friends, but you can also get to know each other by exploring everything that the lake has to offer.

Golf isn’t great only for your social life though, it’s also beneficial for both physical and mental health. Golfing increases heart health through regular activity and exercise, reduces stress and stimulates the brain which can help reduce the risk of diseases like Alzheimer’s. Not to mention, golfers also get a healthy dose of vitamin D, which provides health benefits like aiding  the process of calcium absorption and reducing inflammation in the body.

More than Golf Courses
While the Lake of the Ozarks is home to some great golf courses, not everyone in your family or group may enjoy golfing as much as you do or after a full day of golf, you may find yourself ready to discover what else there is to do in the area. The lake offers a variety of fun things to do, so  there’s lots of other things to enjoy in addition to golfing. From soaking in the sun on the lake, hiking in one of our State Parks, shopping or dining at one of the many restaurants in the area, there’s something at the lake for every age and for multiple interests.
