Celebrating the 4th of July at the Lake of the Ozarks
One of the wonderful things about actually having a home at the Lake of the Ozarks is that you are already at the most wonderful vacation destination in the Midwest when holidays roll around. This is the perfect place to celebrate the Fourth of July. There are lots of places to enjoy different types of celebrations, live music and fireworks are happening everywhere, and of course, there's that gorgeous lake. Below are a few different things that you might enjoy this holiday weekend.
Old Kinderhook
The 5th annual Fireworks fun Fest is happening here from 5 pm -9 pm. You will experience free activities such as face painting, games, and live music. Concessions will be available, and they are having an all-American cookout and pig roast for $12 per person. A fireworks show will end the evening.
This "Freedom Celebration" goes on all day. Beginning at 8 am, you can enjoy family-friendly entertainment, games, live music, and a barbecue. Fireworks will be shot off around 9 pm.
If you are staying at the resort, the weekend is full of all kinds of fun. They will be having live music, games, a scavenger hunt, swim-up movies, and more. You can contact them to make a reservation. They will also be hosting a fireworks display for the Lake area to enjoy.
From 6 pm - 10 pm, you can join them for a carnival and barbecue. It is free for their guests, and the public may participate too. It is $22 for adults and $21 for kids over age 5. Please note that paid visitors must be on property before 8 pm. The night will conclude with an impressive fireworks display.
